Enjoyable, quality music is becoming increasingly difficult to come by in this post-taste age of homogenized radio. I've spent a fair amount of time searching for new music through music stores and internet sources. During this time I've ccollected over 1,300 CDs ... well over half of which are thanks to the sites I've listed on this page.

Album Covers

I'm in the process of grabbing album art of a decent quality for all of my CDs.

Finding New Music

Music Search Engines

liveplasma.com isn't technically a search engine, but a music relationship exploration tool.

Streaming Music

Streaming music is nice, you don't have to worry about finding something interesting to listen to... someone's already done all of that hard work for you.

Pandora

pandora.com is a high-quality streaming music site that builds stations based on what you like. You can share your profile, search other people's profiles with station lists & never pay a dime.

You can view my profile here.

SomaFM

somafm.com has 14 different stations (as of this writing) with a fairly detailed playlist history. Anything from indie rock, lounge, industrial, country & more. All that and it's mostly by some of the more independent artists around.

Podcasts

Typically large MP3 files either of a radio broadcast or closely mimicking one.

That Sound

That Sound (formerly Post Modern Rock) is a weekly radio program on KPSU hosted by Dave Cusick. Just about every episode is well worth many a repeat listening.

Other

muxtape.com gives you the ability to post virtual mix tapes for ther people to listen to with the ability to buy the individual tracks from online retailers.

My Music

These links are mostly broken right now, hopefully I'll have it fixed in the near future.
